The man walked down the muddy path heading towards the city. He smiled as he remembered what happened in the dark damp place, he had total control over the situation. Bloody trickled down his mouth and he lazily wiped it off, realising that people might question if he had blood protruding from his mouth. He loved to have control; It was his pride and joy to know he was the one with the power.

The house seemed quiet. It was usually alive with music coming from anything: the dogs barking, that girl with the beautiful smile practicing “Moonlight Sonata”…again. The lack of sound felt strange. My heart broke realizing he was not here.

“Looking for someone?” he whispered into my ear. He pulled me up, cradled me into his arms. I loved how he felt against my skin. “I’m not letting you go again. Ever.” He said to me. Of course, He was the one person I had no control over. I smiled and we ran away to hunt deer to quench our thirst.
